A view of Baden, just around the corner of my sister

The old wooden bridge across the Limmat

To avoid walking more than necessary an free elevator can be used to climb to the upper part of Baden ending up near the train and bus station.

Nice views of the Swiss Alps from the side of the road to Arosa. The road is draped across the mountain in 365 bends.

We stopped at Litzirüti and took the train to Arosa from where we walked back to Litzirüti.

The train from Chur to Arosa climbs more than 1km (3200 feet) in 26km (16 miles)

Driving back down to Chur we had to stop because they had been cutting down trees from the side of the road. The trees were loaded onto a trailer and when the road was clean again we could continue our descent.

Interior of SLS (Swiss Light Source) at PSI (Paul Scherrer Institut), a third generation synchrotron light source. With an energy of 2.4 GeV, it provides photon beams of high brightness for research in materials science, biology and chemistry.

Rheinfall (Rhine Falls); the largest plain waterfalls in Europe

The Rheinfall is 150m wide and 23m high.

You can access the stairs which lead to the top of a small island/rock in the middle of the waterfalls by boat.

In Schaffhausen a lot of the older buildings in the town center have bay windows
